IV Incubation Process

To settle in CIDE, teams or startups should follow the steps below:

1. Pre-exposure

Team leaders or incubation representatives may contact the CIDE General Affairs Office to communicate their incubation intention and to understand each other's status quo and needs. They can also be recommended by their college, school or mentor.

Incubation Consultation: 12:30-1:30 pm on 1st Wednesday of every month, Le Tian 3rd FL. No appointment or consultation will be accepted at other times.

2. Application

When the incubation intention is confirmed, startups companies or teams are expected to improve their project application documents and submit them in digital form after receiving the recruitment notice by email. The CIDE project leader will complete a research report.

The recruitment email is expected to sent in early March and early September each year

(Specific arrangements will be made in accordance with the school schedule in the beginning of term.)

3. Approval

A panel of business mentors will discuss and give comments on the application and research report. Based on the type of project, there will be a differentiated focus of evaluation, and the main criteria include the validity of team labor division, technological advancement, product competitiveness, environmental compliance, and the contribution to the overall development of society and science and technology. The approval period for general projects is 10 to 15 days; key projects may need to be renegotiated for a second time so the approval period is 15 to 20 days.

*Under the same conditions, those teams with members who have participated in the award-winning projects in the University Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition held by CIDE at national, provincial, municipal or district level are given priority for approval and admission.

4. Contract

After the incubation application is approved, CIDE will prepare a standard contract, CIDE usage rules and other documents, and communicate with the team leader for confirmation. After both parties reach an agreement, the business incubation contract will be signed for a term of one year. If there is any special requirement in terms of water, electricity, gas, waste disposal, incubation period, etc., it is also necessary to file to and seek approval from the relevant departments of the development zone according to the regulations.

Contract Period: One Year

5. Completion

After signing the contract, the startup companies or teams are allowed to move into CIDE according to the agreement. When they move in, they have to deal with the filing of the security personnel and the allocation of workstations. During their incubation period, the startups/teams should follow the regulations of the Institute and the park to carry out R&D, office, production, sales and other work in an orderly manner, and should actively respond to the government requirements and provide various statistics on a regular basis.

6. Graduation

After a period of development, startups can graduate and leave when they reach the acceleration or maturity stage, or when the existing conditions are difficult to meet their development requirements. CIDE can recommend company acceleration bases and industrial parks to the startups according to their status. Startups that have reached the graduation standards can leave early. When the agreed incubation period expires, CIDE will, except for special circumstances, terminate the incubation even if the startup has not yet reached the graduation standard.
